Embassy of Sri Lanka expands collaboration with Belarus Universities
In the framework of the efforts of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation to expand collaboration between Sri Lanka and Universities of CIS countries, a second meeting was organized between the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno (YKSUG), Belarus, and Sri Lankan Universities. After participating in the first meeting with the University of Vavuniya in June, the two Universities are on the final stages of negotiating the text of the Memorandum of Understanding.

Following the visit of Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage, H. E. the Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Moscow, to Ekaterinburg, the Embassy organized an online introductory meeting between the Ural Federal University, University of Kelaniya, South Eastern University of Sri Lanka and University of Moratuwa.

Collaboration between People’s Bank in Sri Lanka and National Investment Industrial Bank in the Russian Federation for the benefit of Russian tourists
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow is pleased to initiate a banking cooperation between People's Bank in Sri Lanka and National Investment Industrial Bank in Russia (NIIB) with a view to devising a platform for Russian tourists to make payments in Sri Lanka seamlessly in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) with effect from the 21st November 2022.*
