H.E. the Ambassador in the Russian Federation invites tourists from Asian part of Russia to visit Sri Lanka
H.E. the Ambassador has attended the International Travel Fair "Expotravel – 2022" in Ural Region on 30th September 2022. The importance of participation in this event can hardly be overestimated, since the Ural region is a strategically important region in terms of bilateral cooperation. Due to its location on the border of the European and Asian parts of Russia, it opens the door to a large part of the country beyond the Ural Mountains.
Russia resumes direct flights to Sri Lanka
On October 07, 2022, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation H.E. Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage had meeting with the Deputy Head of Federal Air Transport Agency of the Russian Federation H.E. Vladimir Poteshkin. Deputy Head of FATA Mr. Georgy Bakharev, Head of the Department for transportation regulation and international cooperation of FATA Mr. Lev Kostin, Ambassador of Russia to Sri Lanka H.E. Levan Jagaryan and the Russian MFA representatives were also present at the meeting.
Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow opens its doors to International Relations Students
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Russia organized on 29 September 2022 a visit of Russian students of the International Relations Programme, Moscow Metropolitan Governance University named after Yury Luzhkov, to the Embassy.
Chuvash State Pedagogical University to start cooperation with South Eastern University and University of Vavuniya
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow organized on 28 September 2022 an online meeting between the Chuvash State Pedagogical University (ChSPU), Russia and the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka and the University of Vavuniya.
The meeting, which was opened by Prof. Janitha A. Liyanage, H. E. the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation, gathered Prof. A. Rameez, Vice Chancellor of the South Eastern University, Prof. T. Mangaleshwaran, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Vavuniya and Prof. Igor V. Kozhanov, Vice-Rector of the ChSPU, as well as the staff members of the Universities.
